Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nerium International Jeff Olson is the author of the bestselling book The Slight Edge, which was developed into a handbook for kids ages 12 to 17. SUCCESS for Teens is designed to help young people across America learn how to clearly define goals and practice the simple, “slight-edge” disciplines for higher achievement in academics and sports while improving social skills and reaching personal success.
“We are proud to have partnered with the SUCCESS Foundation to pursue an initiative of bettering our teens. In conjunction with SUCCESS Foundation, we’ve held free workshops for thousands of teens across the United States,” Olson said. “We’ve also supported the foundation’s goal of donating more than two million free copies of SUCCESS for Teens to tomorrow’s achievers.”
Among those who have benefited from SUCCESS for Teens are the aging-out foster kids who attend the Excellerate Youth Development Program, a 16-week life skills training program in Daytona Beach, Florida, that guides aging-out foster kids in the areas of professionalism, financial responsibility, social skills, life skills and spiritual growth.
“We found that introducing the SUCCESS for Teens book was a big hit and extremely fruitful for our students. Due to the great response from our students, we incorporated more of the book into our curriculum. I would even say we have made it our foundational teaching. Not only did the teens gain insights from the book, but so have our program leaders and teachers. In fact, we have a few Nerium International team members that are an integral part of our program,” said Excellerate Youth Development Program Vice President Hashmareen Griffin.
