This year, Nerium International attended, as Gold Sponsor, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America’s (BBBSA) National Conference opening luncheon for the fifth consecutive year. With the theme Powering Big Futures, the weeklong conference was held from June 25 to 29 in San Diego, California, to encourage BBBSA partners and affiliates to connect with one another, attend funds development workshops, and inspire each other by sharing personal experiences.
Since 2012, Nerium International and its Brand Partners have raised more than $4.2 million for BBBSA: first, through the company’s philanthropic program, and starting in 2015, through the Nerium Ripple Foundation – the company’s charitable organization. Setting a new goal for 2017, Nerium plans to exceed $1 million, making Nerium International the largest corporate fundraising partner of BBBSA in the United States.
Nerium International partners with BBBSA to help make a positive impact on children and to empower young people facing social and academic challenges to succeed in life. “Big Brothers Big Sisters helps at-risk youth to focus on their goals and dream big, and empowers them to become all they can be. BBBSA is in complete alignment with what we stand for at Nerium International with our mission of Making People Better,” said Nerium Ripple Foundation President and Chair Amber Olson Rourke.
For over 100 years, BBBSA has been dedicated to its purpose of providing guidance to young people from diverse communities. Big Brothers Big Sisters strongly believes that matching a Little with a responsible adult role model will change their lives for the better, and they need your help. Currently, more than 30,000 young people are on waiting lists ready to be matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister.

BBBSA’ mission perfectly aligns with Nerium’s company culture and philosophy of Making People Better. “Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization that will equip each of our Independent Brand Partners with the possibility of literally changing a life. We believe the biggest ripple you can create is impacting the life of someone else. That is what the Nerium Ripple Foundation is all about: creating a positive difference in the lives of others,” said Rourke.
“The missions of Big Brothers Big Sisters and Nerium International are quite similar,” said Nerium founder and CEO Jeff Olson. “Both organizations work to make lives better with caring individuals gently modeling the way.” Author of The Slight Edge, Olson believes mentorship is one of the keys to personal development and Nerium’s rapid success.
Through the Nerium Ripple Foundation, the impact of Nerium’s positive philosophy reaches far beyond the anti-aging skincare and wellness industry to help kids from local communities realize their full potential and gain self-confidence to succeed in life.
